33rd US Naval Base, Yokosuka

After traveling over 3 hours roundtrip, begging 2 US Naval officers, and then trying to bribe them with iced coffee, I was finally escorted onto the "restricted" area of the US Naval base in Yokosuka. I immediately purchased and consumed 6 donuts and 2 iced coffees. Then we stayed for the amazing "Friendship Day" fireworks and ate Mexican food with other "Meetup.com" members. What a great night!

Some of the best parts of Kyoto captured here include the Sanjusangen-do Temple (organge), Kennin-ji Temple (vey calm-- oldest Zen temple in Kyoto) and the painting of the two dragons on the ceiling of the Toyo-bo Teahouse to commemorate the 800th anniversary of the temple in 2002.
